-do not set down hot items directly on pieces without the use a of mat or trivet
-spillage should be removed immediately, especially acidic liquids
-pieces with resin are not recommended for direct prolonged sunlight
-pieces with brass can be polished with water and baking soda for extra shine if needed
-marble can be cleaned using a soft cloth with warm water and gentle non-acidic soap
